Chocolate Films is a not-for-profit film and video production company that combines commercial work with an outreach programme of educational and community filmmaking projects.

It aim is to provide workshops to young people and to members of communities who are under-represented in the film and television industry and often works in conjunction with arts organizations or schools to deliver its courses.

Chocolate Films courses range from short seminars to larger scale courses where the participants create every part of the film from the idea to the final edit. The majority of our courses are skills-based, designed around the production of short films.

It specializes in designing and running filmmaking workshops, courses and bespoke film projects for filmmakers aged from 8 years old through to adult.

All projects are run by professional filmmakers with experience in education.

We train is every aspect of filmmaking including script writing, use of camera, use of sound, acting, directing, producing and editing. We specialize in DRAMA, DOCUMENTARY and STOP MOTION ANIMATION.

Chocolate Films has crafted filmmaking workshops and courses for schools, youth clubs and arts organizations. It has run several projects funded by First Light Movies and in partnership with a variety of art galleries, theatres and other institutes including BBC Learning, BBC Video Nation; BBC Blast The Hayward Gallery; The Serpentine Gallery, The ICA; The Old Vic Theatre and The Dyslexia Institute.
